The Masks We Wear

We often hear about the “masks” we wear in different parts of our lives—the polished professional, the supportive friend, the confident networker, the one who says “I’m fine” even when you’re not.

These masks aren’t always negative.

Sometimes they protect us, help us navigate expectations, or allow us to show up when we need to. But over time, constantly switching between them can feel exhausting- like you’re performing rather than simply being.

The question isn’t whether you wear a mask… most of us do.

The deeper question is: Where do you feel most like yourself—and where do you feel like you’re performing?

  • 0%At work, are you fully you, or a more “acceptable” version?

  • 0%In social settings, do you speak freely or filter yourself?

  • 0%Around family, do old roles shape how you show up?

  • 0%With friends, can you truly exhale?
